Thanks to the new gold brass cup design, the Yamaha YTR8335GS has optimal resistance for a powerful tonal core, as well as improved playability in the higher registers. A better play response and wind resistance is due to the thinner valves and enclosures, but also the changed angle in the side tube plays a big role.

With the thumb saddle of the first valve tube, you can control the bladder resistance even more and set it to the resistance you want. The height of the groove of the water valve on the main tube is increased for optimal resistance, also the end of the water valve springs are curled for a better response.
