Buy a grand piano? The piano is possibly the most loved and versatile instrument of any classical or pop musician. Not only as a solo instrument but also in accompaniment for violin, cello, voice, trio, quartet, quintet or orchestral works or band music. The piano is almost an orchestra in its own right, as the entire tonal range is covered with clear, solid root and harmonics / overtones. The latter, in particular, becomes apparent in the top manufactures as the higher quality materials, in a sound qualitative sense, are selected more carefully than just the quantity of the number of keys, which is usually 88 in the new pianos. The piano consists of approximately 5,000 parts and about 50 parts come into operation for each tone. Each piano is "cut from a different wood" and is unique as an individual instrument, where you decide what you like and we have the expertise on what to look for when purchasing a piano or grand piano.Read more... |

We are completely at home with us to advise you in every budget and type of instrument to your taste. We are talking about standing (Upright) pianos which are named in height of cm's and the string length is important. With a grand piano, it is not so much the height of the instrument that is important, but especially the horizontal / horizontal length. A piano and grand piano also have a completely different mechanical effect from each other. The grand piano is "open" at the top and bottom and therefore gives the soundboard a greater volume. Also, the intensity of the sound is usually more complex or, if you prefer, "broader" in sound spectrum. Especially in the area of the bass register, the basses, pianos, but especially also grand pianos with longer bass strings, give a more beautiful sound than a shorter bass string. On the other hand, not only the length of the string is important, but the copper winding also offers less thick copper winding with a longer string. These copper wraps in the bass strings are necessary to achieve the correct pitch / depth. The alloy of the copper and steel strings is also important in the sound quality of the instrument.
A hammer hits the string by means of a so-called hammer head. The sound thereof is transferred to a "comb", which is fixedly mounted on the soundboard and which is made of the highest possible quality soundwood (conifers), so-called Fichte, Spruce. The growth rings of the soundboard play a major role and the height at which the tree grew. At the rear of the soundboard, spreading / ribs of equal quality wood are mounted at 90 degrees from the growth rings direction, so that the sound spreads over the entire soundboard within a mere second. A soundboard is actually a super natural amplifier in quantity and quality of the sound properties of hammer-comb-string-case.
Since each piano or grand piano is made from a different tree, even the same model of the same make still sounds slightly different. Buying a piano for you is a matter of the heart and less of the mind. The piano that makes you "happy" is the choice of your heart.
