Based on the well-known Ibanez TS808, Ibanez has surpassed himself with the Hand Wired version. This instrument is assembled by hand, so that each part is carefully constructed and in which each part is carefully connected to the other. This has certainly benefited the solidity because every part, from push button to internal OFC cables (AWG21) already works a train and will not let you down at the moment-supreme. All this is packed in a solid metal casing.
This is a real 'Limited edition', so you won't see it very often either. This edition runs on the JRC4558D chips; the same chip that has also been used in the Ibanez ts808 back in the days. This really gives you that sultry, warm and creamy overdrive you expect when you kick in a tube creamer. In addition, the TS808 HW is of course true bypass.
This is actually a stupid question because there is almost no pedal that works as simple as the 808. You can turn this pedal on and off and there are only 3 buttons to offer you the valhalla of overdrive. These are the tone, volume, and drive button. The tone allows you to determine the bass/treble for your personal sweet-spot. With the drive button you decide how hard you want this unit to rupture and with the volume button you can adjust the level of sound to your amplifier. If you want to use this pedal as a booster, something many pros do, you can also turn off the drive (almost) and turn up the volume. This allows you to lift your amplifier over the edge and force a very nice natural oversuring. A simple yet effective pedal with a range of applications!
