There are many reasons to practice silently. Angry neighbors, angry partners, angry kids, you don't think you're good enough to give a performance and so on. Yamaha knew this when they released the Silent Brass systems a few years ago. These systems are available for almost all brass instruments. Trumpet, cornet, euphonium, baritone, tuba, horn, trombone etc.
The new Silent Brass systems have a lighter, smaller and easy damper that is easier to play. The Personal Studio has also been renewed. This includes the new Brass Resonance Modeling technique, which they are very proud of at Yamaha. This creates a sound that is really a lot improved compared to its predecessor and more options to create your own sound.
The Yamaha SB7X Silent Brass is the system for trumpet and cornet. The Pickup damper almost completely dampens the sound and sends the sound to the personal studio. In it you plug your headphones and play. On the Personal Studio you control the volume, you can add an echo and even plug in an mp3 player or iPhone via Audio In. This way you play along to your favorite songs.
The Yamaha SB7X Silent Brass for Trumpet comes with a cable for the pick-mute, stereo headphones and a manual.
