The G1 offers a detailed sound and dynamic feel that some might not estimate in a digital piano. In addition to the functionality expected from digital pianos, it also features several innovations that make it feel and sound like a real piano. The RH3 keyboard features Korg's Weighted Hammer Action 3 system, which accurately recreates the feel of a grand piano with heavier bass tones and lighter highs. In addition, the touch sensitivity can be set to five different levels (light, normal, heavy, stable, fixed) to suit your playing style exactly.
The stereo PCM sound generator offers 32 instrument sounds and 3 studio effects, starring three world-famous concert pianos: a German one with crisp highs and a rounded bass; an Austrian with a warmer sound; and a Japanese one with a strong dynamic sound. All of these pianos can perfectly pick up your nuances and reflect them in the sound, including the added damper resonance effect, string resonance effect and key-off simulation, just as you would hear it on an acoustic piano. In addition to the pianos, the G1 also features an organ, harpsichord, vibraphone, acoustic guitar, strings and electric pianos. All with the optimal settings for brilliance, reverb and chorus, but these can still be changed according to taste.
The sound system is designed in such a way that the sound is not distorted during amplification. The G1 speakers deliver a great realistic sound with all details preserved. Even when playing through headphones, the stereo sound optimizer gives realistic presence to the sound.
