This student trombone was developed by John Packer, in collaboration with Michael Rath from England. Designed at the drawing board in England, but produced in China. As a result, they have managed to keep the price relatively low, affordable enough for the novice trombonist. The JP JP230RATH speaks easily and has an all-round sound. So you're always good with this. The slider is sturdy, but still has a very smooth action.
The JP230RATH has a unique and exclusive Micheal Rath lead pipe and is made from an 80:20 brass. More expensive trombones are also manufactured here. It features a 7.5" cup and a medium .500 bore to provide standard players with projection and superior articulation across the entire range. All in all a spectacular trombone for the student!
