The Beginning

May 1980 Music All In is founded by Jan Aandewiel. Music All In begins as a small record shop on the School Street in Noordwijkerhout, Netherlands. This is where vinyls are sold. The most popular artists at the time were Julio Iglesias, but also Blondie, Boney M and Nolan Sisters were in theTop 40

The name of the company originates from the musical TV programme "Music All In" by Jazzmusician and composer Pim Jacobs. This program was broadcast by TROS in 1976 on Sunday evening. With the acquisition of Sound79, Music expanded All In From One to Two Record Stores. This second establishment, again in Noordwijkerhout, was staffed by the younger brother of Jan, Pieter Aandewiel. With the arrival of the third team member, Anja, the wife of Jan, Music All In became a true family company.

Musical instruments

Selling records was fun, but not the passion of the brothers Aandewiel. This was making music. Both Jan and Pieter were active in bands, but also in the club life. The shop, now based in the Kerkstraat in Noordwijk, quickly switched to the sale and repair of musical instruments.

Here they soon became the shop for musicians and associations in the Bollenstreek area. Professional knowledge and service were always at the forefront of Music All In and this made sure that the property in the Kerkstraat soon became too small.

Halfway through the eighties we moved to the Limburg Stirumstraat in Noordwijk. It was in this place where Music All In became one of the bigger music shops of the Netherlands. In the store of 500 m2 was space for many different instruments and two workshops. In the meantime, several colleagues had come to the company and grew Music All In.

Own factory

Ten years after its founding, Jan Aandewiel took over the woodwind instruments factory Schenkelaars in Someren. Under the name First Brass, a line of wind instruments was developed and produced in the Netherlands. Many renowned orchestras and marching bands, including the Royal Military Chapel, were proud users of our instruments.

After a large factory fire, it was decided to move production to Noordwijk. Since 2004, the production has been taking place in China. R&D and setup are still happening in Noordwijk by our own professionals. Since its production in China, First Brass has been renamed MAIN. With this brand we focus on woodwind and brass instruments with a very good price quality ratio.

Move

After more than 15 years in the trusted building in the van Limburgstirumstraat, Music All In moved to the new business area ' s Gravendijck in Noordwijk in 2002. Here, Music All In builded an experience store of 2400 m2. 2002 was also the year when a new generation of Aandewiel was employed by the family business. In a few years time, as many as 4 new members of the family came into service. Jan and Pieter permeate them with the standards and values they have built up the company and the second generation grows under their command to become trusted faces for the customers.

Music All In keeps on growing and meanwhile, the store of 2400 m2 is too small. In 2012, Music All builds a new facility next to the existing building, which are connected to each other with a bridge. This makes Music All In with 8000 m2 one of the most leading and largest music shops in the Benelux. In the new showroom you can now find almost all the instruments. Wind instruments, guitars, drums, percussion, pianos, keyboards, strings, and 4 workshops for our repairers.

In 2016 Jan Sr. transfers the daily lead to his three children Jan, Bas and Maaike The new generation makes Music All In a modern retailer based on the foundation of service and knowledge from the early days. Music All In is a proud family company with a rich history that many of you are part of.

And time goes on, so a new history is already in the make ...
