Buy Heritage guitars?Heritage Guitars have been built in Kalamazoo USA since 1985. The story of this brand is a unique story. Heritage Guitars was founded by 3 former Gibson employees. This iconic brand built all its guitars from 1925 to 1984 in the guitar factory at 225 Parsons Street, Kalamazoo. From 1984, Gibson decided to move its facilities to new large factories and to focus less on handicrafts. This meant that the factory in Kalamazoo became empty and the machines, aimed at manual work, were left behind.Read more... |

Same designers, new name
Three senior Gibson luthiers decide to buy the factory including the machines in 1985. They founded Heritage Guitars that same year. The philosophy of these men is simple. Where Gibson said goodbye to the traditional way of building and focused on efficiency. There Heritage continues with the way of guitar building as they have always done. And that's where Heritage Guitars differs from most major American guitar factories. It's not about mass production and efficiency, but about craftsmanship, extra attention to detail and never compromising on materials.
Quality that Gibson used to stand for
The reactions of our customers say enough about the quality that Heritage Guitars stands for. Notes on the thickness of the top, tops, and fretwork finish. This is what Gibson used to stand for is a common response. And we agree with them. Heritage Guitars models are in no way inferior to Gibson's Les Pauls and Hollowbody's from the 1960s and 1970s. When you buy one, you are assured of a beautiful, hand-built, American guitar that will exceed your expectations in every way.
