CrafterNot everyone's Crafter is a well-known brand. This is partly due to the lack of a "high end" line of guitars. Everything Crafter does stays in a price category below a thousand euros. This doesn't make Crafter a bad guitar. In contrast, even. Crafter focuses on the production of good quality guitars within the starting segment. Also the right price for the right quality. Something that is of paramount importance to Crafter, and therefore certainly fits in with Music all-in in the vision.Read more... |

History of Crafter
In the basement of Hyunkwon Park, Crafter was born in 1972. In the days when Hyunkwon started his "factory", he employed 4 men and 20 square meters of workspace. The first workshop was in the basement of his house. They've lasted six years. In 1978 they moved to a larger building. From that moment on, they started producing and selling guitars under the brand name Sungneum. Freely translated, this means "reaching the sound".
A manufacturer's dream
In Korea, the guitars were sold at a rapid pace. Still, more was needed, according to Park. His dream was to sell guitars all over the world, so that's what he was aiming for. Hyunkwon's son, Injae Park, became chairman of the company in 1986. He indicated that in order to go international, there will be an international name attached to the company. And that's how the name Crafter came into view. This was a token of appreciation to all guitar builders. It's also a sign outwards how Crafter wants to deal with quality.
Crafter worldwide
Crafter currently accounts for about 60,000 guitars that leave the factory every year. This means that a large part of the best quality machine production is done. Nevertheless, many professionals still do some things by hand. And all processes are closely monitored. This way, each guitar gets its own character when it leaves the factory.
