A drum kit is not just something to transport. It has several large parts and is heavy. In addition, there is a lot of metal hardware included. The advantage is that your drum set does not get scratched easily. It is a (often waterproof) cover that is custom made for each drum. A separate cover for your snare, a cover for your bass drum and so for each drum separately. The hardware is stored in a special hardware bag. The disadvantage of soft covers is that apart from the scratch resistant, there is still a risk of dents and cracks in the drums. If a cover falls, the light will absorb the blow. Drum gloves are a perfect solution for drummers who blister easily. They are gloves with extra grip on the palms. They ensure that there is no such friction between stick and skin. In addition, it also prevents you from letting your sticks fly out of your hands.
Every drummer should practice with a metronome. This is a statement that we certainly dare to make. As a drummer you are the foundation of the band when it comes to keeping pace. You ensure that everyone keeps playing in time without speeding up or slowing down. It is therefore important that the drummer does not do this himself. By practicing with a metronome or playing live with a metronome you can make this easier.
