TamaTama is the Japanese word for jewel. And, in our opinion, this is nothing too much to say. Tama has been making drumsticks since year and day. From the beginners kit to the professional kits. Price-quality technically fantastic drumsticks. In addition to that high quality drumsticks and good wood species have been made, the drummers also have a fantastic look. All different lines come out again with different colours. You always have a pleasure not only for the ear, but also for the eye.Read more ... |

History of Tama
Tama is part of the larger "Hoshino". A supplier of musical instruments and accessories. In ' 65, the first drums came out of the factory. At that time still under the brand name "Star Drums". The factory where this happened was from Hoshino ' s subsidiary. This was given the full name: Tama Seisakusho. At the time, the factory was mainly intended for producing Ibanez guitars. By the way, the factory has been named after the wife of the owner of Hoshino. The reason that Tama has many models with the word "Star" is processed in it, is because Hoshino means something like "star field".
Tama hardware
Tama makes different categories in terms of hardware. The one more sturdier than the other. It was also one of the first companies to come up with hardware that did n' t go through the Toms. In this way the sound of the drum is therefore not affected. In addition, together with the brand DW, they once bought the Camco brand. It made the best bass drum pedals on the market at that time. This bass drum pedal, they've all been recreated and re-released in that time.
Tama for professionals
Tama would actually be the name for the drums in the starting segment. From there, the rest would be sold under the name of Camsco. As being the "high end" range. Also from the techniques and patents that Tama had bought at the acquisition of Camsco. This gave Tama a boost in quality and name recognition. In the end, it was chosen not to pass this name change. Tama insisted on price and quality ratio so well that it was no longer necessary.
