The Nordstrand "Big Single" Pickups cram a full-sounding single-coil into a soap bar style pickup, which gives a strong, aggressive tone, but retains the clear characteristics of the single-coil. With Ibanez's custom electronics, you can personalize the tone of the pickups to your liking. The 3-band EQ and 3-way mid-frequency switch can give the ideal tone, but can also be turned off for passive sound. The Mono-rail V is the ultimate bridge due to its four saddles. Each string is attached separately to the body, so that the vibration is passed as well as possible for better sustain and resonance. The tied Panga Panga fretboard fits well in the hand, and the medium frets with premium fret edge treatment promotes playing comfort. The bridge together with the Gotoh tuning mechanisms give this bass guitar superior voice stability. The Graph Tech Black Tusq XL top comb helps by reducing resistance, which also gives a clearer sound and better sustain.
