Ibanez pays tribute to the popular 80s pedals with the Mini Series. This was the time when the guitar brand caused a furore with a series of analogue stompboxes that many top guitarists used and still use. Think for example of Stevie Ray Vaughn and his TS808 tube screamer overdrive, this effect was largely responsible for his signature sound. In addition, there were effects such as the flanger and chorus that dominated this era. With a nod to the modern guitarist, Ibanez has made this series compact so that the pedals do not eat up space from your pedalboard. This way you get a mega sound from a very compact stomp box.
Mini housing with a mega sound, that's the Mini Super Metal overdrive from Ibanez. Based on the popular SM9 overdrive from the eighties. This pedal was on the market between 1982 and 1984, but due to high demand from the public it is being re-released. Fans of this pedal included thash metal bands Slayer and Anthrax. The pedal is suitable for the real ripping work and creates from subtle drives to high gain lead tones. Like the classic pedal, this version is completely analog, so expect a warm sound as you are used to from many other Ibanez effects. With a simple three-button control you can adjust the amount of overdrive, punch (bass layer) and attack (sensitivity when touched). This pedal can only be supplied with power by means of a 9 Volt adapter.
