The design of the Cort Gold O8 Orchestra Model is completely inspired by the classic instruments, in appearance and sound. It produces a strong low end with a surprisingly loud volume for a compact guitar. Through a special 'Aged To Vintage' process, the sitka spruce top is treated to give the open tone of now rare old guitars. The pau ferro sides and back are stable, wear-resistant and hard, making this instrument last for a long time. The DoubleLock neck connection maximizes tone transfer and improves resonance. The neck of is reinforced with the help of two special inserts. With two pieces of walnut wood, extra stability is created while retaining the natural properties of wood. The ebony fingerboard and bridge add to the vintage look and keep the fundamental acoustic sound focused and tight with greater sonic projection, enhancing the transmission of the string vibrations across the top of the soundboard, body and neck. This sonic palette is completed by the bone saddles and nut, two important contact points for the strings, which make them vibrate freely and keep the guitar in tune.
