The CA78 model is equipped with the Grand Feel II action with wooden keys that - thanks to Kawai's 90 years of experience in piano construction - gives an extraordinarily realistic playing feeling. The length of the keys on the Grand Feel II keyboard (from the front of the key to the pin of the balance bar) is longer than any other digital piano keyboard. All 88 keys of the Grand Feel II keyboard are equipped with an ivory-like coating (Ebony & Ivory Touch), which absorbs moisture and gives the player more security and excellent playing control due to a non-slip surface. In addition to the new SK-EX Rendering sound generator, the CA78 is also equipped with the popular Harmonic Imaging XL technology. It contains acoustic piano sounds and a wide selection of additional sounds. For example, you will find the special sound of the Kawai EX concert grand piano, which - in addition to other grand pianos - is often selected internationally by professional pianists for events such as the Chopin, Tchaikovsky or Rubinstein competition. The sounds of the medium-sized Shigeru Kawai grand piano SK-5 and the acoustic Kawai piano K-60 also allow the player to learn different sound characteristics of different grand piano sizes or the characteristics of an acoustic piano. With the integrated Virtual Technician function in the CA78, the tonal character of the selected acoustic piano, harpsichord or E piano sound can be easily changed via the display. For example, you can adjust the intensity of the resonances of strings, dampers and sound box or the sound of the falling hammers. You can even change the pitch and volume of individual tones and then store them in a favorite memory location.
