The classic telecaster design has been compliant with the requirements of guitarists. Yet FGN Guitars thought it would be necessary to improve it. That's how they came to their unique circle fretting system. By bending each ferret light, every string gets a better pitch and articulation than with conventional frets. Each string makes it an angle of 90 degrees with all the frets, so that the strings make minimal contact with the frets and the scale length of each belt is the same.
The c.f.s. Fits perfectly with the compound radius. The key has a kind of cone-shaped with a smaller (rounder) radius at the top comb and that is getting bigger (flatter) as the direction goes to body. As a result, this guitar is well suited for everything from singer / songwriter chord play to extravagant soloists. FGN's own pickups are also designed to be useful in all genres.
All these improvements sound theoretically good, but the essential difference with standard tele's really felt when you try the Iliad once. Thanks to the frets, chords sound beautifully resonant and feel less resistance when bending strings at higher registers.
